This workshop focuses on the concept of Urban Acupuncture, which seeks to promote urban regeneration by targeting specific areas through a user-oriented approach. The primary emphasis is on revitalizing historic urban neighborhoods to promote livability and inclusivity. This workshop aims to foster collaboration among researchers, postgraduate students from the participating academic institutions, as weil as experts and partners from various fields including urban planning, architecture, and policymaking. This unique collaboration among Kassel University, Alexandria University, Beirut Arab University, and Babylon University intends to establish a research network that explores how Urban Acupuncture concept can be transformed into a design framework by proposing immediate and innovative solutions.
Who Can Apply?
The winter school primarily targets master's and doctoral students, as well as researchers. Additionally, undergraduate participants who have completed at least three years of undergraduate study and can demonstrate a strong academic record (GPA above 3.33) are welcome to join this workshop.

- Motivation Letter - 1 A4 Page
- CV - Maximum 2 Pages
- Portfolio - Maximum 5 Pages
- Certificates (Bachelor, Master, Doctorate), if applicable
- Proof of enrollment in a University in (Egypt, Iraq, or Lebanon) at the time of application
- Bachelor candidates, need to provide a document stating that their GPA is 3.33 or above
- Proof of English proficiency
